Installation Instructions

For Circumference Mounting (once this procedure is complete the hub assembly can be easily and quickly removed and reinstalled):

1. Place Shoulder Hub Body into the hub recess in the leg.
2. Screw Circumference Mounting Ring onto the hub body on the other side of the hub recess flange. Hub Body Wrench will aid in tightening if the Prong Ring is not installed and the Prong Ring Wrench will aid in tightening if the Prong Ring is installed.
3. Turn the mounting ring to the desired screw orientation. No need to be concerned about the prong ring orientation at this time.
4. Spot locations for screw holes through the mounting ring with pencil or punch. Do not drill out screw threads.
5. Remove assembly and drill 0.120″ diameter (#31) clearance holes for 4-40 screws.
6. Re-locate mounting ring behind flange and install 4-40 screws through the recess side through the flange and into the mounting ring.
7. Install the hub body into the recess and screw into the mounting ring with the Hub Body Wrench or Prong Ring Wrench.
8. Using the Prong Ring Wrench, the Prong Ring can be turned up to 1/2 turn (without starting to loosen the assembly) to orient the prongs in the desired position. The rubber o-ring on the back of the prong ring will keep the prongs in the desired orientation throughout movement and vibration.

If the Prong Ring and Center Knob are not already installed into the Hub Body:  Install the Prong Ring into the front of the hub body and the Center Knob into the Prong Ring. The Prong Ring Wrench will aid in tightening. Once the the prong ring/center knob are tight the Prong Ring can be turned back the other way up to 1/2 turn (without starting to loosen the assembly) to orient the prongs in the desired position. The rubber o-ring on the back of the prong ring will keep the prongs in the desired orientation throughout movement and vibration. A 5/16-24 jam nut can be installed on the threads on the back of the Center Knob to lock the Body/Prong Ring/Center Knob assembly together.
